Signature advertising

Do you think that advertising through forum signatures is good ? I ask because a lot of forums have made signatures nofollow. And there are a lot of restrictions before you can add a signatures. Even after that, staff will decide whether to leave it intact or not.

Works well even these days. A lot of companies hire people just for that. It is an integral part of digital marketing. But life has become difficult for marketing as you mentioned. Forums are very strict about leaving links. Mainly because Google does not like link farms.

Before signature advertising was easy and it helped a lot. Now it has become restricted and the traffic via signature advertising is very less.

You need to put something catchy on signature for it to work. Offers, discount codes, freebies. I think those are very much seen on signatures these days.

Making users do something is an art. If you got to some successful blogs, they do not simply ask you to subscribe these days. Instead, they will offer you an ebook or some freeebies and then ask you to input your name and email. That is how it works will signature advertising as well.

But yes, siggy ad marketing is not that easy anymore.

Our site never allowed signatures and only now we've begun allowing (with Admin approval) some signature links as long as they aren't selling a product or service.

Allowing Signature is good as long as the users don't use it to spam links and misuse it.
